There comes a time in a person’s life that one would feel that a change is imminent. Either consciously triggered or by accident, a fresh wave is welcomed to somehow push one out of his or her comfort zone. Or perhaps one is simply in need of a new challenge. It’s all part of getting to know one’s person.

Personally, I speak of a change in an over-all style, both in apparel and look. Perhaps twas fated, written in my stars, or inspired by what I’ve encountered along the way. I knew that there were indicative circumstances leading up to this very moment, though, I really didn’t set a definite goal to it. The thought just sat there at the back of my mind. And just when I wasn’t really looking for it, the style inspiration I had been working with, conveniently finds its way into my mail client. One word that’s on repeat in my head right now is awesome.

I’ve been thinking of things I used to want to be. I’ve been thinking of the looks I’ve wanted to achieve. The past few weeks when I got around to going for them again (on the makeup bit in particular), I realised that these things weren’t as exciting and satisfying anymore. I’ve been wondering what to do with my hair, I just knew I wanted it long (and a mess most of the time actually). So going for a ruffled just-got-out-of-bed look may suit my current preference. Let’s see if I get around to getting a perm (that’ll be a huge leap for me actually).

I reckon going back to a more basic canvas will offer more ideas to come about. I’ve been collecting shirts and tees (love these things anyway) so I just need a a few more items (like flat front trousers, more shirts, button down dress shirts, etc) to work with then I’ll probably be all set.

I’m open to other ideas and suggestions, too.
